This website is run by the Chaplains to the University of York. As the Chaplains to the University, we work as integral members of the community but are not employed by the University. We have an Associate status in the University structure and are part of Student Life and Wellbeing.
There are three Christian Chaplains to the University (Catholic, Anglican, Methodist) and we work as one team. We organise regular worship services on and off campus, faith and wider community events, as well as other social activities, and a core part of our ministry is providing pastoral support to students of faith and no-faith. A lot of our activities take place at More House on Main Street, which is also the home of the Catholic Chaplaincy, and also at at Heslington Church. We also have an office on Campus West in the Sally Baldwin building, which is near the Student Hub.
We are a link to local churches and can also help you connect with other faith communities here in the city of York.
